Merry Christmas 2022

Noddy Holder, der Sänger der Band mit der unverkennbaren Reibeisenstimme, kündigt sie persönlich an: „Hi Mal, this is Noddy Holder from Slade, and this is our new Single. Our new Christmas Single. It’s called Merry Christmas Everybody!“ Und dann, genauso wie er es am Ende der Single schreit: „It’s Chriiiiiiistmaaaaaaas!“ 
„Merry Christmas Everybody“ von Slade ist seit jenem Jahr ein fester Bestandteil im Repertoire aller Weihnachtssongs, die im Radio gespielt werden – weltweit! Der Refrain geht so:

„So here it is merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
Look to the future now
It′s only just begun“

Anyone who hears the piece will immediately notice that it doesn't fit at all into the otherwise soft (pre)Christmas program of many channels, because this is real rock'n'roll. Christmas doesn't always have to be "just" contemplative. 

And because that's the case, this year we'd like to wish you not only a contemplative Christmas, but above all a merry one. We all deserve it. According to the motto of Noddy Holder: Look to the future with fun, it has just begun!
